Welcome!

Welcome to the website of the Educational Surrogate Parent Program (ESP Program) located in Westboro, MA.  Thank you for your interest in learning more about the ESP Program and we invite you to visit us often.

What is the ESP Program?

The ESP Program recruits and trains volunteers across the state of Massachusetts to act as special education decision-makers for children who are in in the custody of a state agency.  These children have no parent or guardian available to make these decisions on their behalf.

How can you help?

There are hundreds of children across the state of Massachusetts who need a concerned adult in their area willing to accept this role.  By volunteering as an Educational Surrogate Parent you become an important member of a Team in determining and ensuring a child receives a free and appropriate public education (FAPE).
